The market for Bomb Love (unsigned) prints illustrates one of the clearest examples of the post-pandemic boom and normalization cycle within the Banksy print market.

Between 2019 and early 2020, Bomb Love traded relatively quietly, generally between $13,000 and $24,000. The work was considered an accessible entry-level Banksy print, appreciated for its direct anti-war imagery and iconic “Bomb Hugger” composition, but still secondary to more sought-after editions such as Girl With Balloon or Love Is In The Air. The turning point arrived during the speculative expansion of the Banksy market between late 2020 and 2021. Prices accelerated aggressively as collectors entered the market in large numbers, liquidity increased dramatically, and online auctions multiplied. During this euphoric phase, several works sold above $70,000, culminating in exceptional results approaching or exceeding $100,000.

The most extreme outlier remains the April 2022 SBI Art Auction result at approximately $100,135, which appears significantly disconnected from the broader market and should be interpreted as a speculative anomaly rather than a sustainable benchmark. From late 2022 onward, the market progressively corrected. By 2023 and 2024, prices stabilized mostly between $16,000 and $33,000, before compressing further in 2025 into the $14,000–$20,000 range.

This normalization is not necessarily negative. In many respects, the current market appears healthier and more sustainable than the speculative conditions observed during 2021–2022. Transaction volume remains relatively active, indicating continued collector demand and liquidity for the edition.

Several important conclusions emerge from the data:

1. Bomb Love remains highly liquid with frequent auction appearances across Sotheby’s, Christie’s, Phillips, Bonhams, Forum Auctions, and regional houses.
2. The market demonstrates strong resilience despite the correction. Current prices remain materially above pre-2020 levels.
3. The speculative premium of the pandemic-era Banksy frenzy has largely disappeared.
4. The work now appears to trade within a more rational valuation framework tied to edition size, image desirability, and broader Banksy market sentiment.
5. Median prices in 2025 suggest the market may be approaching a stabilization phase after nearly three years of gradual correction.

Overall, Bomb Love unsigned continues to occupy an important position within Banksy’s print market: historically iconic, politically recognizable, relatively accessible, and sufficiently liquid to remain attractive to both newer collectors and longer-term Banksy buyers.
